A non-refundable deposit, also referred to as a "booking fee", is required to book an appointment at Tried and True Tattoo Company. The amount of the booking fee/deposit is set by the individual artist and is based upon the size of your tattoo project.
• Appointment deposit/booking fees are non-refundable, and non-transferable between artists in the studio or between clients.
• The booking fee is valid for 12 months.
• If you need to reschedule/cancel your appointment, you must provide 48 hours' notice to avoid paying another booking fee.
• The booking fee will be held as payment towards the last session of the tattoo.
• Upon paying a booking fee you acknowledge that you have communicated your tattoo design idea to the artist to your satisfaction, and you have reviewed the artist's prior works to determine that the artist can implement your idea to your satisfaction. However, please understand that if you request substantial changes to the design, or request an entirely new drawing or draft, it will require a new booking fee, and the original booking fee will be forfeited as payment for the artist's drawing time and/or lost tattoo appointment time. Please understand that creating a tattoo design based on a client's concept is subjective, and that variations may exist between the concept and the finished design. If the finished design is not to your liking, minor changes may be made at the artist's discretion.
In most cases drawings, drafts, or concepts will not be emailed or otherwise previewed to clients before their scheduled appointment time. Drawings, drafts, concepts, and finished tattoos are the legal intellectual property of the artist.
A BOOKING FEE/DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED UPON THESE CIRCUMSTANCES:
• You cancel or reschedule a scheduled appointment without giving at least 48 hours’ notice.
• NO CALL/NO SHOW. You may not be allowed to reschedule without reasonable explanation. If you're allowed to reschedule, your deposit may be significantly larger.
• You arrived 30 minutes late to a scheduled tattoo appointment.
• You reschedule 3 times for any sessions of the same tattoo, regardless of notice.
• You arrive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• You arrive without government-issued identification.
• You made a major change to the design that was discussed at the consultation. Modifications and simple changes are usually no problem and can be done rather quickly. Adding new elements to your design last minute or changing to a new idea is a major change.
• You arrive with any skin condition in the area that may affect the tattoo process. This includes but is not limited to: contact dermatitis, rash, acne, jaundice, sunburned or peeling skin, lacerations, scratches, burns, blisters, etc...
• You arrive with any numbing agent applied to the area to be tattooed without consulting your artist first. Use of pre-numbing agents can negatively affect the quality of your tattoo. Pre-numbing agents are manufactured with little to no restrictions from the government. Many products on the market are not trustworthy and contain illegal amounts of lidocaine. Lidocaine overdose is real. You may purchase Bactine Max at your local drug or grocery store and bring it with you.
• You arrive with any symptoms of illness.
*Staying in communication with your artist when problems arise can be very helpful to avoid forfeiture of your deposit. We are also human, we make mistakes, we get sick, and life throws the same problems at us.
